Prior to moving to Earley, I lived in Southend-on-Sea where I was chair of the Southend Railway Travellers Association (C2C line) for several years. I was also the inaugural Chair of the Shoebury Community Forum representing 15,000 residents, businesses etc. in the area.
I was heavily involved with the Liberal Democrats on Southend Borough Council and I have stood for the UK parliament twice.
I moved to Earley with my family in 2007 as a result of a work relocation.
My children attended Loddon Primary School where I was appointed as a Parent Governor and was Chair of Governors for a while.
After nearly 41 years I took early retirement from the Life, Pensions, and Investment Company that I had worked for since I was 16.
I am a member of Lower Earley Baptist Church, and I am also on the Leadership Team. I help with some of the children’s and youth work when I can.
I am a volunteer driver for Earley residents with the Wokingham Volunteer Centre.
My wife and I are foster carers for Wokingham Borough Council.
I am a member of the National Trust, but also a theme park fanatic and love big roller coasters.
