Reason for urgency:
Proposed reductions to speed limits to 30 mph on three sections of B3349 Barkham Road, Bearwood Road and Sheerlands Road to support access and walked routes to New Bohunt School, Arborfield require a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO). Part of this TRO process requires advertising of the proposals where objections can be submitted to the Council. This objections window closes on 18 August. If objections are received from Ward Members then resolution requires an Executive decision. Objections have been received from both residents and Ward Members. The report will detail those objections and officers recommendations in response to the objections raised. An Executive decision is required to determine whether the TRO and speeds limits can be reduced to 30mph or not. The new Bohunt School is scheduled to open on 5th September, therefore the Council is keen to have a decision before this date, allowing the 30mph speed limits to be implemented and operational ideally before the school opens on t
