We the undersigned petition Wokingham Borough Council to REMOVE from its local plan consultation Pinewood Centre on Old Wokingham Road form its development plans.
To REMOVE the threat of housing development from this much loved and well used site. It is an obvious ploy that WBC plans to flatten Pinewood and concrete it over and move some or ALL of it to the Gray Farm facility which is now being proposed for COMMUNITY user as well as sports use.
The Pinewood site has not appeared in ANY documents relating to future sites until this last round.
We believe that this important site - which has mixed community use including Youth facilities, sports, leisure, and education. The site ahs been added to the consultation covering the entire site with NO plan or numbers indicated, effectively asking residents to render an opinion on 1 house or 1000!
