The Personnel Board will exclude the press and public in order to discuss the Part 2 sheets of Agenda Item 32 above and to do so it must pass a resolution in the following terms:

That under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act (as amended) as appropriate.

To consider applications for the post of Chief Executive and to interview the applicants. (Part 2 sheets attached)

The Board interviewed candidates for the position of Chief Executive and Head of Paid Service.

RESOLVED:  That Personnel Board recommend to Council the appointment of the preferred candidate subject to the necessary HR checks.
