Currently the footpaths and the crossings for pedestrians are exactly the same colour. There is no difference in brick work that shows it’s a road not a path.

From a child’s prospective there is no difference between them.

My 3 year went to run across the road whilst holding my hand as he told me “I don’t need to hold your hand Mummy as that’s a path!!!” Through his eyes Roads are Black or you wait at the lights for the little green man or there is black and white across the road.

If they aren’t marked more clearly very soon, there will be a fatality as not every parent holds their child’s hand throughout Wokingham.
