Say NO to 4,500 houses at Hall Farm

We the undersigned petition Wokingham Borough Council to not include any significant housing development at Hall Farm as part of its Local Plan Update.

YES PLEASE:
• Infrastructure keeps up with housing
• Flood plain used for water not houses
• Farmland used for growing food
• Green space for biodiversity and leisure
• Quality homes locals can afford
• Properly resourced neighbourhoods
• Good access to medical and dental care
• Equity of housing distribution across the whole of the Borough
• Safe, easy access to public transport, cycleways, greenways and footpaths
• Net Carbon Zero by 2050
• Highspeed broadband across all areas
• Local community, history & heritage valued
NO THANK YOU:
• Sewage system unable to cope
• Flooding (as at Winnersh)
• Imported (high carbon footprint) food
• Urban sprawl from Reading to Wokingham
• Expensive houses for newcomers
• Anti-social behaviour
• Long waits, difficult journeys, poor service
• Green Belt North Wokingham v Housing Estate South Wokingham
• Grid locked roads full of polluting cars
• Cutting down trees, pulling up hedgerows and building on fields
• Postcode lottery of internet access
• Unrestricted development that ignores the wishes of local people
